Say goodbye to tedious titration! This portable water hardness tester makes water quality testing on

In daily water quality management, water hardness is one of the important indicators for measuring water quality. Whether it is the taste of drinking water or the safe operation of industrial boilers and hospital pure water systems, the hardness value directly affects the subsequent treatment process and equipment maintenance cycle.

At present, photometric colorimetry is one of the commonly used methods for detecting total hardness in water. Based on this principle, we recommend a portable water hardness tester to industry users. The instrument is designed to be compact and supports rapid on-site sampling and measurement, aiming to provide a convenient technical means for water quality monitoring work.

Detection principle and scope of application
The instrument uses a 520nm LED light source and photometric colorimetric method to determine the total hardness concentration value by measuring the absorbance change after the reaction between the water sample and the color reagent. Its design is suitable for total hardness screening and monitoring in scenarios such as drinking water, hospital water, industrial circulating water, and general wastewater.

Functional structure and operational characteristics
optical system

The device uses a 520nm wavelength LED light source. This light source has stable output characteristics in the relevant detection band, which helps to ensure the stability of the detection optical path.

control system
Using high-performance MCU (microcontroller) for signal processing and computation. This circuit design focuses on low-power management and, in conjunction with a built-in battery, can support multiple on-site testing tasks, reducing the need for frequent charging.

interactive interface
Equipped with a touch screen operation panel. Users can complete the detection steps through on-screen prompts and directly read the numerical results, with a more intuitive operation path.

data calibration
The device has built-in software calibration function and pre stores the standard working curve for total hardness testing. Users can complete daily calibration by following the instructions in the manual, without the need to create their own curves.

Technical specifications and performance parameters
According to the actual testing and calibration of the product, the main performance indicators are as follows:
Detection range: 0 mg/L -100 mg/L (total hardness)
Indication error:
When the measured value is ≤ 1 mg/L, the error range is within ± 0.02 mg/L;
When the measured value is greater than 1 mg/L, the error range is ± 2%.
The above parameters are based on the statistical results of multiple repeated measurements under standard conditions (temperature 25 ℃± 2 ℃, standard colorimetric dish). In actual use, there may be reasonable deviations due to environmental, reagent, and operational factors.

Application scenario reference:

The instrument has a small volume and light weight, making it easy to carry to different locations for on-site testing. Typical applications include:
Water supply unit: Conduct daily hardness testing on the factory water and the water at the end of the pipeline network;

Medical institutions: assist in monitoring the hardness control of water used for hemodialysis and instrument cleaning;

Industrial field: used for rapid hardness screening of boiler water and cooling water systems, providing reference data for water quality treatment;

Environmental monitoring: as an auxiliary monitoring tool for total hardness indicators in surface water or sewage.
